False Advertising

No matter how good you are, you can’t fake product benefits if they don’t really exist. And if, by some chance, you are able to create a gimmick that holds up for a while, it will still eventually fall apart.

So why do we continue to try our hands at forced marketing? People want to know that you found them, listened to them and then built a product specifically to meet their needs.

You’ve got a far better chance at keeping attention (as opposed to just gaining it initially) and building trust when you take the time to create something meaningful in the first place. Contrived benefits are just little white lies that will come back to haunt you.
